Objective of this scholarship is to support a St. Therese parishioner and graduating high school student with a one-time award to support costs toward textbooks by recognizing a student’s commitment to parish service and/or community service.
Applicants for this one-time scholarship award must be:
•A registered member of St. Therese Catholic Church for two years prior to the application deadline
•Demonstrate in detail of one's active participation in St. Therese parish (ministry involvement and service) and/or with a community organization supported by St. Therese parish (i.e. FeedNC, Christian Mission, Lake Norman Pregnancy Center, Food for Days, Kindness Closet, and more)
•Graduation from an accredited North Carolina high school or home schooled in North Carolina, accepted for admission as a full-time student into an accredited two-year or four-year degreed program/university.

St. Therese parishioner, Clark G. Ross has established a scholarship to be awarded annually to a high school senior who is a member of St. Therese. The scholarship provides $2,500 annually for unrestricted college expenses for the student. The award is renewable for four academic years, a maximum award of $10,000.
A complete application will include the following:
1. Graduating this current spring (2024) from a local high school and will attend either a four-year or a two-year college this coming year
2. Registered member of the St. Therese parish for at least two years
3. Demonstrated financial need (see details on the website)
4. Personal statement of aspirations to include how the student models “the little way” of St. Therese
5. Summary of achievements during the four years of high school
The winning student will receive $2,500 before June 30. An additional $2,500 (maximum of four years in total) will be automatically awarded when the student submits his/her year-end college grades in June. The student is expected to have a minimum GPA of 2.5.
The scholarship selection committee will be St. Therese parishioner and former Pastoral Council member Aisling Zaccarelli (Chair), Ann Marie Costa (Thatcher Professor of Theatre at Davidson College), and Kelli Olszewski, St. Therese Director of Religious Education.
