Pillar of Hospitality

'When I was a stranger, you welcomed me.' Matt 25:35

“Do not neglect hospitality, for by that means some have entertained angels
without knowing it” (Hebrews 13:1-2).

Jesus Christ teaches that whenever we welcome one of the least of our sisters and brothers, we welcome Christ Himself.  Let us all come to Mass with a welcoming spirit.

Things I can do:

At weekend services

• Be warm and welcoming to everyone when I’m at Mass
• Take time to introduce myself to someone you do not know
• Offer help to those who have questions about our  parish
• Take time to learn the names of those sitting around me
• Take time after mass to visit with those who I do not know

• Attend Coffee and Donuts- introduce myself to people I don’t know
• Attend a newcomer event- get to know new parishioners and welcome them
• Attend the Pancake Breakfast- sit with people I don’t know and visit with them
• Attend a baptismal service and welcome the newest young members to our church family
• Attend coffee and conversation after the 9 am Mass on 1^st Wednesday of the month when offered (please see calendar)
• Join one or  more of the hospitality ministries (see below)
