I have been a member of St Therese since my husband Tom and I moved from Illinois to Mooresville in 2003. We have 3 children ages 15, 17 and 20. Initially I started a Mom2Mom support group back in 2004 and have been involved with the church in some capacity ever since.
I served on the council to start Little Way Preschool in 2010 and worked for the church as a pre-school teacher for the first 3 years of its inception. Additionally, throughout the years, I have served as a catechist for almost every grade level and have volunteered with vacation Bible school, chaperoned youth retreats and many other events under the Faith Formation umbrella. I’ve participated as a sponsor in the RCIA program and, most recently, assisted Dave Conklin with the COVID confirmation class.
I attended Illinois State University and earned my degree in Public Relations with a minor in Business. I am currently employed, at Scholastic Book Fairs as a Book Fair Consultant and have been there for the past 6 years. I enjoy spending time with my children at their various sports and musical activities. My husband and I enjoy bowling and spending as many sunny Carolina days on the lake as possible.
It is my desire to help make St. Therese a welcoming home for spiritual growth for all members of the parish. I welcome hearing about any ideas you may have to help make St. Therese an inclusive, dynamic parish for all to call home. I look forward to serving on the Pastoral Council.
Paula is the Pastoral Council contact to the Evangelization and Communication Commission.
