My name is Patricia (Patty) Malyszko. I have been a volunteer for St. Therese for many years, but currently serve as a 4th-grade Faith Formation teacher, a role I have enjoyed for the past 3 years.
I grew up in Nesconset, NY, and earned my BS Degree in Business Administration/ Accounting with a minor in Economics at SUNY Oswego. Michael, my husband of 29 years, and I relocated to the Catawba County side of Lake Norman in 1993. We have 1 son who was baptized at St. Therese in 2000 and now attends High Point University. My husband is a custom jeweler and runs our store in Cornelius, while I have a small bookkeeping service and assist local businesses around the lake. My initial volunteer positions were with Mothers Morning Out and Vacation Bible School around 2002-2004. Our family changed parish to St Mark Catholic in 2005 -2018 while our son attended St Mark Elementary and Christ the King High School. We were active as leaders in the Boy Scout Pack and Troop 97 and on the Welcome Committee at St. Mark. 4-years ago, we returned and are happy to be back at St Therese. This summer, I was fortunate to assist with Totus Tuus summer camp and the Rummage Sale, meeting so many wonderful, dedicated parish volunteers.
