I have been a member of St. Therese since my husband Tom, and I retired from Michigan to Mooresville in 2016. We have been married 42 years. We have 3 sons and 5 grandchildren. Our sons and their families live in Illinois, Colorado and Florida.
I earned a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Wayne State University. I later completed a Nursing Home Administration Program from Madonna University.
In 1988 I took a position with the Sisters of Mercy overseeing the care of the sisters at McAuley Center; a twenty-eight year journey.
I have board member experiences and was Chair of Mercy Network on Aging. Shortly after moving to Mooresville, I accepted a 3-year board position with the House of Mercy in Belmont, the Sisters of Mercy South Central campus.
St. Therese is a very welcoming parish family and I appreciate the opportunities to continue my commitment to be of service. I serve as a Eucharistic Minister and was the contact for the Food Pantry, now Food Ministry. This ministry has reorganized over the last 5 years to meet the needs of the community; expanding to include Food for Days and Backpack Ministry. I now look forward to serving on the Pastoral Council.
Katie is the Pastoral Council contact to the Community Ministries Commission.
