Orignially from North Carolina, my wife Connie and I both grew up in the small town of Clinton located in the eastern part of the state. I attended Wayne Community College, UNC-Wilmington and Limestone College and have degrees in Business Administration and Biology. In 1974, I accepted a position with Duke Energy and spent the next 39 years working as a Biologist for that company.
We think this region of NC is beautiful and have enjoyed raising our family in the Denver area. Our four children and five grandchildren also live close by enabling us to spend a lot of time together.
We have been members of St. Therese since 1983 and have seen this wonderful parish community grow and thrive. Over the years, I have served on Pastoral Council as well as Parish Life and Education Commissions. I was also a Catechist, Usher and member of MOST. In addition, Connie and I were involved with the marriage prep program as a "sponsor couple." I remain a member of the Knights of Columbus and continue to serve as a Greeter, Eucharistic Minister, Sacristan and Homebound Minister.
In 2013, I retired with plans to spend time traveling, completing home projects and continuing to enjoy my hobbies: softball, golfing and fishing.
James is the Pastoral Council contact to the Community Ministries Commission.
