I am originally from Gloucester Massachusetts. After working for the University of Michigan, principally in West Africa, I came to teach economics at Davidson College in 1979. Since my arrival, forty-two years ago, I have been an active member of St. Therese. I have established wonderful relationships first with our Jesuit priests and now with those from the Diocese. I have been with the parish as we have grown from less than a 100 people at a mass on Sunday in our downtown Mooresville barracks church to our lovely new large church which, pre-virus, was overflowing. I am so proud of our Catholic community here at St. Therese.
I have worked with St. Therese in different ways: with our priests and our Davidson College students to help form a faith community among our college students. Also, I worked with Father Lynch, writing the Renew lessons. Currently, I teach an economics course at our parochial high school, Christ the King. As I transition into a retirement from Davidson College, I am delighted to become involved in yet a different way, as a member of the Parish Council, here at Saint Therese.
