The daughter of Irish immigrants, I was raised in Bloomfield Hills, Michigan, and Greensboro, NC, before heading off to college at Villanova and earning my Master of Science in Public Health from UNC-Chapel Hill. My husband, Chris, and I moved our family of five to Davidson in 2015 with the goal of having a better work/life balance and immediately found a home in St. Therese. We’ve been married for 17 years and our children are aged 11, 9 and 7.
Upon attending a First Communion retreat for my eldest daughter a few months after I moved to town, Father Dominic, the previous parochial vicar at STC, inspired me to start a group that would engage other mothers like myself. The Catholic Moms Connect group has been running for almost 4 years now and has grown every year in size and the events we coordinate for the church. We organize an annual Halloween Trunk or Treat, Christmas Pageant, Easter Egg Hunt, Summer Moms Night Out, Family Picnic, and this year will be adding a retreat, “A Catholic Mother’s Conference,” and a new program, “Advent by Candlelight.”
Chris and I serve as lectors and Eucharistic Ministers at the Family Mass offered on the First Sunday of each month during the schoolyear. In terms of personal interests, I am a huge foodie and love to travel. I treasure the friendships I’ve made at St. Therese and am excited to be a part of the Pastoral Council representing the Stewardship Commission.
