The St. Therese group that journeyed to Malawi, Africa, prepare to return home. As they pack up their belongings, they collected their thoughts on what God's message was to them during their stay. Susan Chironna, a mission group member, reflects on the parishioners respect for the local priests and how Africans love to live in the moment.

Chironna's Words
"As we say farewell to Fr. Henry, the vicar of St. Thomas Aquinas, our host parish, it's worth noting how he is serving God by leading his flock. He is from Nigeria, with the Missionaries of St. Paul and has been in Malawi for about 6 months. He’s soft spoken and introspective but you would never know it once some music is playing or he’s around children. That’s when he comes to life! He recognizes the difficulties of this posting due to the severe poverty of the community and their reliance on outside help, but his motto is “do everything out of love” …for the people and for God. He doesn’t look for thanks or appreciation but gives all that he can joyfully! For him, being sent to Malawi is a blessing and he hopes to stay here a long time.”
