As each one has received a gift, use it to serve one another as good stewards of God's varied grace. Whoever preaches, let it be with the words of God; whoever serves, let it be with the strength that God supplies, so that in all things God may be glorified through Jesus Christ, to whom belong glory and dominion forever and ever. Amen. 1 Peter 10-11
Here I am, Lord! The stewardship way of life means putting God first in your life. He is the one who has gifted you with all that you have and, in gratitude, you have the opportunity to return to Him the first portion of your time, talent, and treasure. We generally know what time we have to give back and what treasure we can share, but what about understanding our talents?
Embrace who God created you to be!
At St. Therese, we use a strengths-based approach to stewardship of talent, by presenting adult parishioners the Living Your Strengths workshop series. Many parishioners contribute a wide variety of talents and skills which make our parish the wonderful community it is.
As an adult, Living Your Strengths will help you answer important questions such as:
What is involved?
The process begins with an online questionnaire - the result of the Gallup Organization's research with over 3 million people. By taking the survey, you obtain a list of your top 5 strengths and are ready for the Living Your Strengths' series.
The series, which consists of two sessions -
2 hours each, is an exploration of your strengths to better use these God-given strengths in your life and to understand others.
Living Your Strengths is presented by the Stewardship Committee.
