What is a Catholic Funeral?
Any questions about what happens at a Catholic funeral? Check out our booklet on Guidelines for Funeral Planning. It gives you an overview of the entire process from death through the burial. Know that the Liturgy Coordinator is available to meet with you to discuss this process and will assist you through this difficult time.
Funeral Pre-planning
In an effort to assist you and your family with funeral planning we have included a Funeral Booklet that lists the Music and the readings for a funeral Mass. We have also included a Pre-planning form that guides you through the booklet showing what the funeral Mass requires and what you need to pick and what you want your family to choose for you.
You can print this pre-planning form and keep it with your valuable papers or you can bring it to the Parish Office for us to keep it safely for you. The Liturgy Coordinator is available to review your choices with you and assist you, if necessary.
We ask that if you wish the Church to hold your Pre-planning form for you that you bring it to the Church in a sealed envelope with your name printed plainly on the outside.
Beareavement Ministry
St. Therese parish instituted a Bereavement Ministry many years ago to help people through the trauma of the death of a loved one. This ministry is here to help you. We have books written especially from a Catholic viewpoint to help you cope with your grief and healing. Watch the bulletin or click here for information on joining a new group starting on this 6 week journey. Please call or email Mollie Anderson manderson@sainttherese.net or call 980-444-2211 with questions and concerns.
