The Knights of Columbus (KofC) was founded as a brotherhood in service to the Catholic Church, bound together by our principles of Charity, Unity, and Fraternity. The men of the St. Therese Council of the Knights share a desire to be better husbands, fathers, sons, neighbors and role models. We strive to embody these principles through support to our parish and the local community.
In the past 30 days the St. Therese KofC Council:
Hosted a pancake breakfast after the 8:00am and 10:00am Masses on the first Sunday of each month;
Sold Activities Books for 2022 that offer special deals at restaurants and merchants throughout the Northern Charlotte area, while raising money to help support funding for local charities;
Sold 2 for 1 coupons for “Down for Donuts,” a local bakery that employs people with disabilities and overall, helps fund LAMB
Sold wreaths to support the national Wreaths Across America program to place wreaths on veterans graves on December 17, 2021;
Bought 18 coats for the parish Christmas Giving Tree as part of our annual “Coats for Kids” campaign. We also contributed $250.00 to the National KofC Supreme Council “Coats for Kids” campaign;
In support of the Respect Life Ministry, we erected the outdoor nativity scene near Brawley School Road;
In addition, the Knights Ladies Auxiliary sold poinsettas for the Christmas holidays and helped at the pancake breakfasts.
If you are a Catholic man looking to help others in the community while strengthening your faith, become a Knight!
