Top left: The host members of the St. Therese mission group in Africa take the Americans to Lake Malawi. As the fifth-largest freshwater lake in the world, fishing is an integral part of the locals’ lives. The group used the trip to the lake to help Fr. Bonaventure, the host priest, celebrate his 10th priestly anniversary. Lake Malawi is believed to be in a basin that is 8.6 million years old, according to Africa Geographic.
Top right photo: Sister Grace (middle of photo) is from Nigeria and is part of the Medical Missionaries of Mary. She runs the clinic near the convent. The clinic sees all sorts of patients, as well as prenatal care and delivery. Today the moms were there to weigh their babies. Also, in the photo from left-to-right: Fr.
