COVID fatigue is a real thing! For the past several months, we have all learned how to live our lives in 2 week chunks of time. The fatigue comes from the mental and emotional exhaustion from dealing with all things COVID-19. We’ve learned just what 6 feet apart looks and feels like. More time has been spent indoors as we protect ourselves from a force that has no face and makes no sound. Although many of us are looking forward to this New Year, some are struggling with the isolation and loneliness, especially after the holidays.
If you are struggling with challenges like… · Isolation and loneliness
· Anxiety over health or finances
· Tension from juggling work, childcare and remote learning
· Grief for a variety of losses
Please take care of yourself! You do not need to face your struggle alone. Sometimes a walk outside and a chat with a good friend are all you need. Sometimes you might need a bit more. Find someone (a counselor, clergy or friend) who can provide emotional support for you. Remember, “self-care” isn’t about indulgence. It’s about renewing your mind, body and soul.
"Come to me, all you who are wearied and burdened and I will give you rest.” ~Matthew 11:28
